Chair of College of STEM and Assistant Professor of Biology, Harris-Stowe State University.
My current research interests include using geospatial science to examine problems of water conservation and food insecurity in the context of climate change and with emphasis on urban agriculture. My current projects:

1) Title: Waste Not, Want not. A “Smart Garden” approach to Water Conservation using Remote Sensing and Geospatial Technologies for Urban Agriculture.
A predictive model suitable for water conservation in urban settings will be developed based on soil type, soil moisture and local weather conditions.[3,4].

2) Title: From desert to oasis: A study of food deserts in urban environments using geospatial technologies with a goal of creating sustainable living communities.

3) Title: Beneficial effects of companion planting on plant growth and their ability to repel insect pests

Coursework: Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Cell Biology, Urban Agriculture, Laboratory skills (processes of science such as observing, designing experiments, refining techniques, and presenting and interpreting the results of findings).

Professional career:
Teaching experience in higher education, experience with ArcGISPro and remote sensing technologies for agriculture. Employment background in biological research, biomedical application technical support, clinical informatics software, programmer analyst and data analyst. Experience with bioinformatic support in areas of Genomic Medicine, Biomedical Informatics and Gene expression analysis. Multidisciplinary background ideal for Clinical Business Analyst and Medical Science Liaison.
