Nita also meets with her students outside of class time to help them acquire job skills. She provides them with the opportunity gain extra experience on the HPLC machines so that can achieve the skill and comfort levels with the machines needed to be successful their future careers.
In addition to working with Ohlone College students, Nita also teaches workshops for high school students and outreaches to both share her skills in the community and recruit students to the Biotech program.
When Nita isn’t teaching students and supporting the Biotech program, you can find her tearing up the dance floor. Nita enjoys dancing in all forms, including ballroom, salsa, and Bollywood. Traveling and exploring new places with family and friends is another of Nita’s favorite pastimes, but she also welcomes the opportunity to “just chill and watch a romantic movie.”
