Sanjeewa Gamagedara, Ph.D., received his B.S. (Hons) degree in chemistry from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri. The main goal of his research is to apply analytical chemistry techniques to aid the betterment of human health. His research focuses on investigating biomarkers for the non-invasive early cancer diagnosis. Also, Gamagedara has research expertise in metabolomics, proteomics, microfluidics, environmental analysis, and pharmaceutical analysis. He uses various analytical instruments like LC-MS/MS, HPLC, CE, GC-MS, LC-HRMS, ICP-MS, Lab-on-a-Chip devices for his research projects. Currently, Gamagedara teaches Instrumental Analysis Lectures and Lab classes.
