Aaron Taylor

I'm passionate about driving economic growth across the Southeast by directing resources and strategic tools to startups and innovation communities for sustainable success.

As the founder of Cedar Tree Law, I’ve counseled startups, nonprofits, and small businesses on governance, transactions, and growth strategy. My legal work is rooted in a deep understanding of the lean and high-growth entrepreneurial journey — from incorporation to capital raises and beyond — and shaped by years of collaboration with founders, investors, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders.

I’m currently deepening this work through venture capital and policy advocacy, supporting funds and founders who are reimagining how networks can help maintain momentum and mitigate risk. My mission remains the same: to help communities across the Southeast adapt to this generation of innovation through strategic partnerships, prudent capital allocation, and holistic ecosystem-building.

Through Cedar Tree Ventures Consulting, I advise organizations and ecosystem-builders on inclusive scaling models, startup pipeline development, and innovation-centered capacity building. I also speak and consult on business development, founder readiness, and inclusive entrepreneurship for those working to transform their communities from the ground up.

“Founders First” is the lens through which I approach every venture, client, and community I serve. I believe founders are catalysts for community growth, and when we invest in them with intention, we unlock new pathways for vibrancy, wealth, and resilience. Whether through legal counsel, venture support, or ecosystem strategy, my work is effective because it centers the founder’s success and development — especially those historically excluded — at the forefront of the innovation economy.
