Chad Markert

Chad Markert, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology, in the Department of Exercise Physiology, School of Health Sciences, at Winston-Salem State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Movement Science/Kinesiology from the University of Michigan, his Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Eastern Michigan University, and his Doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology, with emphasis in skeletal muscle physiology, from The Ohio State University. He completed NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Missouri and the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
