As both an academician and entrepreneur with significant administrative experience as a director, manager, department chair, college dean, and associate provost, my administrative skills are multidisciplinary, and my experience is substantial. My passions are related to helping people, whether it's research, teaching, management, and education - teaching and training people how to think about what they are interested in is what I love to do. Whether it's in an academic or research setting or as part of a company, administrative decisions are made to serve the best interests of our customers, students, faculty, and staff. As an industry consultant for over 25 years with my own start-up company, my experience with the business side is significant, with expertise in a variety of areas, from clinical research to molecular biochemistry to materials science/engineering to intellectual property generation.
