Dr. Anton Riedl is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Christopher Newport University and Head of the School of Engineering and Computing. He enjoys teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, mostly in computer networking and engineering fundamentals, and supervising capstone design projects and Master’s theses. Anton’s research interests include applications of networking, network planning and optimization, and autonomous systems.

Anton holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees both in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Munich University of Technology.

Anton is an active member of the IEEE, a Program Evaluator for ABET, and an enthusiastic supporter of FIRST Robotics.
