My career began in the environmental consulting field in 1991 while attending university and quickly entered a supervisory level within three years. During this time, I worked for several legacy firms, honing my expertise in environmental investigations, regulatory compliance, and project management. With a solid foundation in the industry, I eventually broke away to establish my own firm—an endeavor that led to the growth of multiple professional environmental consulting businesses, including certified laboratories and consulting firms. These companies became recognized leaders in their fields before we successfully sold them, allowing me to transition into higher education.

At the College of Southern Nevada, my role as Dean of the School of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics integrates educational leadership with a strong commitment to environmental science. My ability to implement policies, foster academic excellence, and align educational programs with industry needs has been pivotal to the institution’s growth. Through a blend of administrative expertise and scientific insight, our team has successfully developed workforce-oriented bachelor’s degrees and programs that connect students with real-world career opportunities.

With over three decades as an Environmental Scientist, I have also served as an expert witness in complex legal cases (e.g. CWA, RCRA, SDWA, Soils, mining, PFAS), where my role requires meticulous research and the ability to communicate scientific findings with precision. My work has contributed to the legal and regulatory framework that underpins sustainable practices, ensuring that science remains at the forefront of environmental decision-making. Through collaboration with industry, academia, and legal professionals, I continue to advocate for informed environmental policies that balance development with ecological responsibility.
