Charles Dull

Dr. Charles (Chuck) Dull serves as the Associate Dean for IT Center of Excellence at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. As Associate Dean he is tasked with program planning and support for IT programs and trends in IT education. Prior to this Dr. Dull was the Assistant Dean for eLearning & Innovation providing support and direction for online and blended learning programs, as well as driving innovation in eLearning and virtual student services. He earned his BSBA and MBA from Youngstown State University and PhD from Capella University.

Dr. Dull has experience in operations management, decision-making, project management, and both higher education teaching and administration, including:

  • Serving as Campus President at Remington College

  • Working for seven years with The Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association where he was responsible for the database infrastructure, website, network issues, and process design. He also worked with the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), where his responsibilities included management of the Systems Appraisal Teams, budgeting, Distance Education Change Panel facilitation, and work with higher education institutions at Strategy Forum events.

  • Serving as a Director for on online program for Myers University, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was responsible for online education program design and implementation, distance education programs, corporate college, and the website.

  • Serving as a program director and advisor at Bryant & Stratton College out of New York. Dull was one of the first online instructors for Bryant & Stratton College.

Before his career in higher education, Dr. Dull served in diverse positions ranging from Operations Management and international operations to technical sales in power transmission products. Dr. Dull earned his PhD in Education from Capella University, a MBA and BSBA from Youngstown State University, and an Associates of Arts Degree from Kent State University.

For fun, Dr. Dull enjoys riding his bicycle, reading, playing guitar, and spending time with his son who is learning to bike, play guitar and read.
